Protect Your Corn!

From Tar Spot & Other Yield Robbing Diseases

Tar spot is a newer foliar corn disease in the U.S, first appearing in Illinois and Indiana back in 2015, and has now spread to 14 states and southern Ontario. This disease is caused by the fungal pathogen Phyllachora maydis, and can cause poor stalk quality and substantial yield losses. Foliar fungicides are one of the tools growers can use to combat this disease. Affiance® and Domark® are both viable options to reduce tar spot symptoms and help protect your yield.

Affiance® Fungicide is a highly systemic, dual mode of action (FRAC Groups 3 & 11), unique formulation and broad-spectrum fungicide that provides control of Tar Spot* and many other problematic corn diseases, such as:

  • Anthracnose leaf blight
  • Common rust
  • Eye spot
  • Gray leaf spot
  • Northern corn leaf blight
  • Northern corn leaf spot
  • Southern corn leaf blight
  • Southern rust

Affiance is also labeled for use on soybeans for control of many economically important diseases.

*Affiance is labeled for use on Tar Spot in corn via FIFRA 2(ee) in the states of IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, OH, PA, SD, and WI.
