Gowan Company is proud to announce that Ecoflora®, its newly formed division dedicated to biological development and innovation, has been named a finalist for the 2019 Global Biopesticide Awards. Biopesticides are made from naturally derived ingredients including plants, bacteria, fungi, and minerals for the control of pests in agriculture and horticulture.
The Biopesticide Awards recognize the greatest global achievements in the field of biocontrol over the last two years. They celebrate the success, excellence, and contribution its finalists have made to the biocontrol community.
Ecoflora® Agro SAS was founded in 1998 and is a pioneer in the development of plant extracts for effective and sustainable crop protection, such as EcoSwing biofungicide. As part of its ongoing commitment to deliver more integrated solutions to organic and conventional growers, Gowan purchased the remaining shares of EcoFlora Agro in 2019, thus creating a global biological business that has been built around the Ecoflora brand. The acquisition combines Ecoflora’s biorational product development capabilities with Gowan’s 50+ years of experience in the coordination of registration, development, marketing and sales to provide solutions for integrated pest and disease management around the world.
