YUMA, Ariz. (March 18, 2008) – Gowan Company announces the addition of Special Local Need labels approved in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas for the use of Permit Herbicide for pre-plant or at-planting burndown in rice for the control of annual broadleaf weeds and nutsedge. Applications of Permit herbicide may be applied for burndown of emerged weeds before planting, or at planting of rice.
Permit Herbicide is the premier sedge control product in rice. In addition, Permit offers control of other aquatic and broadleaf weeds including hemp sesbania, jointvetch, and dayflower. Permit has a wide application window and can be applied from pre-plant burndown, preemergence, and post up to 48 days prior to harvest. Excellent crop safety, low use rates and low cost per application make Permit a natural addition to your weed management program.
