Labeled for most cool-season turf species, Tupersan
provides highly effective pre-emergent control of
smooth and hairy crabgrass, as well as foxtail and
barnyardgrass.  Tupersan may be used on newly
seeded areas and on established turf.  This product
is unique because it can be applied at the time of
seeding without causing injury to germinating
seedings of most cool-season grasses.  This high
degree of selectivity allows seeding later in the
spring when soil temperatures are warmer and more
conducive to seed germination.  Gowan Company
supplies the technical product to distributors and
suppliers who then formulate and offer the
Tupersan-containing products to various markets.
